We have been learning about Victorian food here is my slide that made.

Whakapapa Boards

We are drawing designs of our culture witch is from our mum and dad. My first design was my dads,  the culture was Tongan and my mums culture was the same, Tongan culture. First I drew on a paper about my mum and dads culture. When I finished drawing, I started coloring on my art work then I moved on to drawing my board.

After we all finished drawing our patterns on our board, we all moved on to painting. It took days and days to finish painting our art. Miss tito told us to cut in so we don't have mess on our board. Then we finished painting on our art and got into drawing with vivid's and we finished.

My Holiday Highlight

As I flew down the slide excitement filled me. Last week me ,mum,cousins and auntie went to pools  because it was a hot day so we decided to go there.

We got excited to go in the pools so we started changing into our swimming togs and hopped inside. We were swimming around then i noticed the hydra slide was open.

In the hydra slide it was dark in there and it was a bit scary in there.  It was going fast then it went zig zag. Crashed! I popped out of the end and went flying to the water and saw bubbles.

           After we crashed into the water we all felt tired getting up from the end of the hydra slide. We started changing into our normal clothes and went off home.

Creative Spring Writing

Today in class we have been doing creative writing. We had to write a sentence about this picture. As a class we chose the sentence we liked to best and then added to it. Here is my sentence and the sentence I added to.

The fluffy white clouds float bye.

Under the oak tree,kicked back by the beach from a view,chill going down your spine, the bright sun light  on you. I hang out with my friends. We have a great time under the oak tree.

''Annyoung'' means ''Hi''

For reading my group read a book called  '' Annyoung'' means ''Hi'' , it is about  children coming from Korea  to live in NZ. Here are some differences about schools in NZ and Korea.

The difference between NZ schools and Korean schools are, In Korea they take their shoes off on class time but when they go play outside you have to put your shoes on. About the difference of their playground NZ one has big grass spaces to play in, you can play in bare feet. In Korean school their playground is made out of concrete and they have to wear shoes when they go outside to play. Inside a Korean classrooms their desks are  lined up in rows but in NZ we have our desks in groups of 4-5.

My Tapa Cloth

I have been reading a story called Sunday Market. It is about a boy who helps his Aunty to sell some tapa cloths.
This is a picture of a tapa cloth that I drew. I made a Tongan one because that is my culture.

Hooked on Hockey

In the story hooked on hockey I heard about how hockey is played. They have to wear shin pads, mouth guards, roller blades and a uniform.

Tryathlon

For reading my group read a book called Giveit a TRY. This book is about the Kiwi Kids Tryathlon. Our task was to write about the difference between a TRyathlon and a TRIathlon. I picked the Commonwealth Triathlon to show you the difference between them.
This is what i found.

There are some differences between a Tryathlon and a Triathlon.  

1. For the Tryathlon they only swim 200 metres, run 2 km and bike 8 km, but for the Commonwealth Triathlon they swim 1,500m, run 10km and bike 40km.

2. In the Triathlon they don’t have teams they just compete by themselves.

Holiday Highlight

Have you ever seen transformers? On Sunday we went to sylvia park to go and watched transformers 4. In the first part Rachet got caught by the humans. Lock down just came out and transformed his head into a gun and blew up Ratchet's  middle body part and Rachet died.

Katy and his worker went inside and sawed a old rusty truck and they brought the rusty truck and they hooked it into the little truck and went home. When they got home they were finding out what happened to the truck and they hear a voice of a robot talking. And what they found out was this truck was a transformer and its name was optimus prime.

Full of bad guys came to look for optimus. After that optimus came out of the barn and started shooting them and they were going to track down optimus prime but katy and her daughter went on optimus prime truck and they drove away. The place they went was the gas station. When they got there katy and his daughter and optimus  went to the auto bots place.

There was trouble on the road the humans made the white robot and the wanted to test it out on the road. First it fighted with optimus, they start fighting. Then lock down came out of his ship. He started to transform his face into a gun, then he shoted optimus primes middle of his robot body but lucky optimus  prime was still alive.

Whaling

Whales are obtain for hunting whales to be use with oil,bone and meat. In around the world all the  people with there big ship’s are more powerful than the whales because it’s much easier for them to hunt them down. When Fin whales are killed from the people from other countries they have much meat in there body and blubber.

When it was possible for the whales to live in the water they got all hunted down from the people at the countries. And there were heaps of countries capturing the whales and they are New zealand,iceland and Japan. How they hunted the whales down is they shot with the harpoon gun and captured them with a net.

The Endeavour

In 1768 Captain James cook was the first palagi man to come to New Zealand. How they got to new zealand is they were traveling on this boat called endeavour and it had 12 sail’s and it took 3 years to find New zealand. And did yous guy’s know that boat is famous and it show’s the boat on the 50c coin.

Henry:My Mum And My Auntie

 My mum

My mum is a kind lady and she always does the dishes with me. She’s a bit different then my auntie. At home with my mum she always teaches me maths problem’s so I can get better in maths. Sometimes she get’s angry when someone’s not listening to her or doing the wrong thing. The thing she like’s to do is go church every sunday and do her hair and all those other stuff’s that she does.

My auntie

My auntie is angry when some people don’t listen to her. But she’s kind of a busy person when she play’s on her phone. She look’s after her grandchildren and make’s meal’s for her children. She’s good at helping me and her children and what she want’s is just play on her phone and goes shopping with me.

What makes an effective sentence?

When someone is having a race with you and if they get ranned over from other people we got to get him as a friend and put him some where safe. Bully's a bad because if they bully you and the others you go and tell on the teacher so they can go detention.

All About Camp

In yesterday the year 5&6 were so thrilled,and so as I.We were so waiting to do the excited activities.The activities I done yesterday was cooking,top town and kayaking.My favourite activitie was top town and the team we were versing was cear bears.

We were so ready that we wanted to beat them.When Mr jacobson said “go” start it running to go fill some balloons so we can be at the bottom field first.Once we got on the bottom field and the game started we were putting the boards on floor to walk to the battle field.Some people in our group were pushing the other people of the cardboard but we were not during the right thing.
